Appointment Setter (Houston, Texas)

CHR is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Appointment Setter with proven experience in inside sales to book appointments for our sales executives. The right candidate must have excellent communications skills, a strong attendance record, and a positive attitude. Successful candidates should have at least one year of documented success in telephone appointment setting. We will provide training on our products and services. This full-time position pays an hourly rate plus commission for successful appointments settings and offers health benefits. Prefer candidates who reside within 20 miles of our office at 9700 Bissonnet; Houston, Texas.

Essential Functions
  1. Follow up on direct mail/e-mail marketing campaigns by contacting prospective clients via telephone using prepared scripts.
  2. Schedule client appointments for the CHR Solutions sales staff and executives.
  3. Research client websites to become familiar with clients and their products/services.
  4. Maintain accurate records and daily logs of all contact efforts to reach prospects.
  5. Assist with various marketing efforts including creation, distribution, and production of direct mail or e-mail client campaigns.
  6. No travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • - High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • - Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • - One year proven track record of success in telephone appointment setting role.
  • - Experience in interacting with business owners and executives beneficial.
  • - Excellent verbal and written English skills; Spanish as a second language is a plus.
  • - Familiarity with client database systems a plus.
  • - Familiarity with business requirements for IT (networks, PC’s, printers, software, etc) a plus.
  • - Ability to use persuasive sales skills professionally and tactfully.
  • - Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • - Ability to operate copier, fax, phone, and other office equipment as needed.
