Graphic Artist/Multimedia Specialist (Springfield, Illinois)

The Graphic Artist/Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for designing print and online media for CHR Solutions as well as clients. The Graphic Artist/Multimedia Specialist must demonstrate excellence in graphic design, proficiency with state-of-the-art software, strong analytic thinking and creative problem solving skills for visual information design, and a high degree of innovation. The Graphic Artist/Multimedia Specialist will design branding materials as part of a multidisciplinary team through the use and integration of a new tools and technologies to meet customer needs.

Essential Functions
  1. - Design print materials such as: brochures, advertisements, newsletters, displays and signage, product and support collateral, training materials, etc.
  2. - Prepare materials for print.
  3. - Develop style guidelines.
  4. - Design brand graphics such as logos and develop corporate branding materials.
  5. - Assist clients in campaign, branding and multimedia development.
  6. - Develop innovative, creative and fiscally responsible approaches to design and production of materials.
  7. - Interact and concur with writers to create marketing materials and literature.
  8. - Serve as a resource for the development of comprehensive marketing strategies and product launch plans for clients.
  9. - Research new technology and recommend new design tactics based on the latest technology.
  10. - Assist in all applicable practices related to the promotion of CHR Solutions.
  11. - Minimal travel by car and/or plane, may include weekend travel. Current valid driver’s license required.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Communication, or other related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • Knowledge of interactive design principles, usability and online branding issues.
  • Experience in interactive design and website design, coding and maintenance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective print materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally visually, verbally, and in writing with co-workers, vendors, clients, media, and the general public.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere or other video editing software package a plus.
  • Good customer relations skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Access a plus.
  • Ability to operate copier, fax, phone, and other office equipment as needed.
