Multimedia Marketing Assistant (Springfield, Illinois)

The Multimedia Marketing Assistant will be responsible for tradeshow registration, booth, and material coordination; proofing and editing; and campaign execution assistance for internal and external clients within the Multimedia Marketing & Creative Services line of business. A successful candidate for this position must demonstrate effective communication and proofing skills, be deadline and goal oriented, and possess a high degree of innovation, the ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and ability to quickly learn and integrate new tools and technologies to meet customer needs.

Essential Functions
  1. Coordinate tradeshow registration, including the following:
    • Exhibit space registration
    • Exhibit personnel registration
    • Register show attendees
    • Booth preparation and shipment coordination
    • Collateral preparation and shipment coordination
    • Giveaway ordering and shipment coordination
    • Exhibitor services coordination
    • Onsite tradeshow promotion and registration
  2. Proof and edit marketing collateral and campaign materials.
  3. Assist writers and designers in the production of marketing materials and literature.
  4. Utilize CRM software and databases to effectively pull lists to market and record marketing activities.
  5. Assist in and support all applicable practices related to the promotion of CHR Solutions.
  6. Minimal travel by car and/or plane, may include weekend travel. Current valid driver’s license required.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • Knowledge or experience working with promotional item vendors.
  • Experience in working with print vendors and the print process, including:
    1. Understanding of printing processes (creating proper specifications sheets, effective communications, and proofing)
    2. Understanding the types of printers (hardware – digital vs. offset)
    3. Understanding of paper usage, weights, types
    4. Understanding of color processes – color separations and 4 color, 2 color, 1 color (spot & PMS).
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Access a plus.
  • Ability to operate copier, fax, phone, and other office equipment as needed.
