Right now a hot topic in the Communication Service Provider (CSP) space is IPv6, the next generation Internet Protocol (IP) address standard that will supplement and eventually replace IPv4, the protocol most Internet services use today. CHR is participating on an IPv6 panel at NTCA IP Possibilities to discuss what IPv6 is, why it matters, and how to implement it.

What does IPv6 provide?

  • More than 340 trillion IP addresses
  • Allows allows a huge range of devices to connect directly with one another
  • Ensures the Internet can continue its current growth rate indefinitely

It is important to learn more and be knowledgeable about IPv6 as it will impact CSPs network's growth and structure. I invite you to attend the IPv6 session at NTCA IP Possibilities and to visit with Sam Harlan and I in Booth 607 to discuss IPv6 and other Network and Engineering topics important to you.

Technical Track - IPv6 Update

Session Description: Internet addresses under the old Internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) have been strained for years, and transition to the successor IPv6 is underway. Learn where IPv6 stands and what your company should be doing to ensure that your customers won't be left behind as this new standard is more widely adopted.
