Older adults and females are increasingly buying and using tablets
and e-readers, according to a research Nielsenwire
While 62% of tablet owners were under 34 and only 10% over 55 in
Q3 2010, 46% were under 34 and 19% were over 55 as of Q2 2011.
Looking at e-readers, 61% are now female compared to 46% in Q3
Smartphone ownership is now evenly divided between males and
females while tablet ownership remains predominantly male.
Interesting demographics for the consumer devices which are
driving consumer cloud applications, and building
expectations for services anywhere and anytime.
