As the recent Cisco Visual Networking Index highlights, annual Internet Protocol (IP) traffic is forecasted to triple between 2014-19 due to an increased number of Internet users, personal devices, machine-to-machine (M2M) connections, faster broadband speeds, and the adoption of advanced video services. In fact, IP Video is expected to comprise up to 80 percent of global IP traffic by 2019.
